The work location for this role will be our HQ located in Coral Gables, FL (Miami metro area).


The Symbits Service and Support Tech I is responsible for providing technical support, both remote and onsite to small and medium size businesses across the United States and other countries. This Tech is the first line of defense to keep a healthy and efficient IT environment and to provide fast and knowledgeable responses to technology challenges.  

Specific Responsibilities

  • Respond to Help-Desk requests.
  • On-site and/or remote analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex desktop problems for end-users, along with recommendation and implementation of corrective solutions.
  • Install, configure, and maintain end-user workstations, and related peripherals.
  • Level 1 Active Directory administration (New Users, User properties, passwords changes, etc.).
  • Monitor, support and troubleshoot Infrastructure devices (ISP routers, switches, wireless access points, etc.).
  • Update service requests (Tickets) as needed, resolution, notes, time, etc.
  • Assist senior engineers on troubleshooting and/or deployment of systems.
  • Escalate technical problems to efficiently resolve and restore services.
  • Assist the IT team on other duties as assigned.

  • Good communications skills.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience with Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems.
  • Knowledge of networking and infrastructure (DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP)
  • Experience with Microsoft applications (Office)
  • Strong Listening, Analysis, Reasoning and Problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and independently on occasions.
  • Ability to work after hours and on weekends as required (on-call system).
