Summary of Position:

Our National Training Manager is responsible for presenting and training at local/regional events and assist district and territory managers in conducting training at retail locations or coaching full-time, part-time and new hires.

Success in this role is tied to great interpersonal and influencing skills that are coupled with an outgoing personality.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze training needs, to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs in partnership with client
  • Lead field training activities within US and Canada
  • Execute and facilitate content at key retailers
  • Lead training team to execute and facilitate at key retailer events
  • Execute at training events at client's request
  • Curriculum Development
  • Designs, develops and produces training materials specifically for the Home Entertainment channel, including printed, visual, video and electronic media.
  • Creates instructional materials for instructor led, self-study, video and internet-based training
  • Consults independently with sales managers, product managers and sales reps to develop new training initiatives based on current business needs or changes in channel
  • Chooses the appropriate training delivery to meet the needs of customers and vendors (e.g., group, lecture, hands-on, televised, etc).
  • Makes changes to curriculum for new and existing products to meet customer needs and keep current with changes in technology or delivery
  • Develops and delivers a variety of sales and product training to customers with varying levels of industry/channel knowledge
  • Tradeshow & Event Support
  • Provides high level customer briefings at the request of the sales team to support overall customer sales campaigns at industry tradeshows
  • Must be proficient in all aspects of Home Entertainment products and knowledgeable of competitive and industry movement within the Home Entertainment category



Qualifications:

  • Must have 3+ years' worth of experience in the retail or sales industry
  • Must have 5+ years' worth of experience in instructional design
  • Must be able to travel within a designated sub-market
  • Must have strong time management skills
  • Must have a clean driving record; proof of automobile insurance is required
  • Must be flexible with scheduling
  • Must be able to work independently and lead teams in training sessions
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Must be willing to adhere to ?retail hours.? Flexibility and the willingness to work day shifts, evening shifts, weekends and holidays is required
